I laid around this week. I went to pick up a load on Tuesday, they loaded it very late. When they loaded it late, I said I wouldn’t be able to deliver this load on time anymore. They had to get a new time from the customer. And the customer gave the new time for Friday. Thus, I will have earned the money I normally should earn in one day, in 3 days. So I laid around doing nothing for two days. Oh well.

On the first of those two days, for instance, I ended up meeting with a friend with whom I stayed in the same student house 20 years ago. He lives in Pittsburgh nowadays. He just recently came around here. He had said let me know if your path crosses Pittsburgh. And my path was already passing through there this time. We met yesterday. We ate, we drank, we chatted. And we parted ways this morning.

There were plenty of jokes and funny moments. A one-day sociability got added to the life continuing asocially in the truck.
